Winter Black and White

from $45.00

Strolling around one winter day in Rue Square Saint-Louis, surrounded by colorful patrimonial Victorian houses, I noticed this all-black-and-white mural painted on a warm-brown brick wall building. The comics-style characters floating in space piqued my curiosity to understand what concept the artist tried to convey. Doing quick research, I found out that “the artist plays with the notions of time and space, creating endless scaffoldings, representing a freeze frame of continuous motion”. I thought to myself that this concept of trying to freeze time of continuous motion is similar to my concept of “MTL Vibes” project but as being both artists, each of us delivers his idea in a different artistic way. The white snow and grey sky, together with this black and white mural, gave this place a unique and limited color scheme of black-white-grey-brown tones, which I found both special and beautiful. A young couple passing by gave the entire scene a special “winter magic” ambiance.

Originally painted with acrylic on a 16”x20” canva-paper, this is a fine art print, on an acid-free, very smooth, high-quality 210 gsm paper.

The paper size includes a white border for framing purposes and for extra protection of the image area during shipping. It is highly recommended to frame the print as soon as you receive it.
