Place Des Arts
Place des Arts is located in the cultural heart of Montreal, the Quartier des spectacles. It is a lively gathering place year-round, serving the arts and culture community which makes Montreal so unique and celebrating it with an extraordinary variety of events and festivals. During these events, the place is full of life and is decorated with many art installations that sometimes, it’s hard to notice the surrounding architecture. One early September weekday, when the area was quieter and no event was taking place, I took a walk to appreciate the architecture of the cultural institution buildings and surrounding art. Here and there, people were walking and sitting on the benches relaxing from everyday life. This scene captures the casual atmosphere of that moment.
